That is fascinating, but I feel saddened that it's PR about a burger chain trying to prove they have the best hamburgers. It dampens the altruistic nature of giving and receiving from other cultures.

It also smacks of American culture trying to infiltrate every last untouched cultural area of the world.. I do now really want a burger though.

Yep!... It's true, they are trying to prove that they have the best hamburger and that they aretrying to infiltrate their own culture... I was only looking to the experience that the people was living... and that instead that we use to consider that we are living in a small planet, there is still to much to do!

    Thanks for your comments!

Cristian: what a fascinating example of experiential marketing! thanks for posting the video.
Burger King has been very active in experimenting with non-traditional media. They recently launched a Facebook application in which users had to "sacrifice" (delete) 10 friends to get a free Whopper. Over 200,000 friends were "sacrificed" in just 10 days and BK got extensive coverage in major media outlets.

Innovative approach to seeking a pure analysis of quick serve personal preferences, hopefully at the conclusion Burger King will donate resources back to the villages and communities that made this project unique.

    Thanks for the experience....

At first I thought "wow... i can't believe there's people who have never heard about hamburgers, so it's wonderful to share our culture with really different societies" but it's obvious there's a commercial intention, and what i think it is worst, is introducing bad trash food to people. Well, that's just my point of view.

Back to the serious topic. This is an infomercial, there's nothing new in this. I mean, it's an infomercial with the visual language of Michael Moore (or Borat?) hahaaha

What are they trying to prove? Do the world NEED hamburgers? Hmm, no.

I have been fortunate enough to travel to many foreign countries and absorb their cultures. I believe that is a unique, life-changing experience, way beyond description.

Let's keep it that way. My kids have been touched by this experience as well, although I will admit to eating one dinner at Sizzler's in Japan after a week of very unusual food in very small portions. I just hope that my grandchildren will be able to have the same experiences and my kids and I have.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your comments!...

It's an issue how our own exclusive and different experiences and bias are reflected in the comments!...

It's an experience, it's also an Ad... and an infiltration... Interesting

Good post. I'm more of a McDonald's fan myself and live the way which these two companies advertise. It's so funny
